The members of the Academy believe that the remarkable achievements in science, technology, engineering and mathematics over the last millennium began with students who were stimulated to be curious at the elementary and high school levels. In recognition of the teacher’s crucial role in this process, VASE has established an annual award to honor outstanding STEM teachers throughout the State of Vermont. There will be one award for a teacher of grades K-8 and a second award for teachers of grades 9-12.
